As part of its meaningful annual initiative, Swim Vietnam officially kicks off its free survival swimming program for children this summer. The program aims to equip Vietnamese children with essential knowledge and life-saving skills in aquatic environments, helping to reduce the high rate of child drowning—one of the leading causes of death among children in Vietnam.
The program consists of 15 lessons taught by a team of professionally trained instructors who follow international standards. The curriculum covers water safety knowledge, basic swim strokes, survival swimming, and rescue techniques. Children attend three sessions per week for five weeks, integrated into the school curriculum or delivered during summer break.
This is more than just a basic swimming course — it lays a strong foundation for children to develop self-protection skills around water and provides opportunities for continued training for families interested in advancing their child’s swimming abilities.
Swim Vietnam extends sincere thanks to local authorities, international and domestic sponsors, parents, students, and the entire Swim Vietnam team for their ongoing support. It is through this collective effort that our mission to prevent child drowning in Vietnam continues to grow and thrive.
