Thank you Alina Graham for your generous donation of $1000 towards Swim Vietnam Disability Project in May 2025.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This program creates an opportunity for disadvantage and disability student to learn how to swim and be safe in and around the water in the rural communities in Vietnam.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Further funding is needed to continue this program in upskilling, training and utilising local Vietnam swimming instructors.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Overall the benefits is the continuation and sustainability of the Swim Vietnam Programs that have had a major impact to the drowning statistics in Vietnam already.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u2022 More children can access the program<\/div>\n
\u2022 Training of new local swimming instructors<\/div>\n
\u2022 Upskilling of current local swimming instructors to teach children with disabilities<\/div>\n
\u2022 Decrease of drowning statistics \u2013 2,000 child deaths from drowning in<\/div>\n
2021. This number has also been widely quoted in Vietnam press and media articles and Swim Teaching organisations and mostly running with this number \u2013 this equates to more than 5 each day. This number is dramatically lower than previously quoted drownings but still quite shocking.<\/div>\n

GWSDPRC is aiming to raise $5000 to go towards this project and we cannot thank Alina enough to start this fundraising with a bang. She mightn\u2019t drink coffee but that doesn\u2019t matter!!<\/div>\n
