Volunteer with us!

Volunteering with Swim Vietnam is a great way to use your specialised skills to make a difference! Most of our volunteers are swimming and water safety teachers, but we also welcome volunteers with other skills – like photography, TESOL, grant writing – or even just enthusiastic helpers.

The application, vetting and working visa process can take up to six months, so please submit your application with plenty of time. Swim Vietnam conducts swimming and water safety classes from March – September, but our office is open year round.

Successful applicants are required to undergo a police check and/or working with children check in their home country at their own expense and submit this to Swim Vietnam at least one month before arriving in Vietnam.

We ask that swim teacher volunteers have an internationally recognised qualification (e.g. AUSTSWIM) and a minimum of five years experience. A knowledge of Vietnamese is not required (though always a plus!) Volunteers work alongside our team of AUSTSWIM accredited Vietnamese swim teachers, in a supporting role.

Please complete the volunteer application form below.
